3rd Annual Tournées Film Festival: La Noire de… / Black Girl

The Tournées Film Festival at NC State is a series of six French films selected by a committee comprised of NC State students, faculty, and staff. The festival’s goal is to provide diverse and thought-provoking examples of French cinema to audiences on campus. The following film is showing during this time:

La Noire de… / Black Girl

Black Girl is the story of Diouana, an illiterate nursemaid from Dakar who follows her French employers to the Côte d’Azur with dreams of discovering France. But once in Antibes, she finds herself enslaved, trapped in the couple’s well-appointed holiday apartment and on the receiving end of their domestic frustrations.
