CALS International Seminar Series: Dr. John Beghin

On March 22, Dr. John Beghin will present High Cost – High Reward International Experiences.
Dr. Beghin will explain how originally unrelated experiences eventually became building blocks of a globalized career and life. He will relate how taking risk in international activities is rewarding although may be initially taxing.
Dr. Beghin, Professor and Department Head of the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, is originally from Belgium and has lived and worked in Australia, Belgium, France, and Senegal. He has has projects in Argentina, Chile, China, Ethiopia, Ghana and Turkey and has travelled extensively. He has specialized economic analysis pertaining to agricultural and food trade and farm policy. He has received funding from the EU Commission, USDA, USAID, USGAO, FAO, and OECD, and the World Bank among others
