Culture & Identity: Trevor Noah’s Stories from South Africa and Abroad

November 15, 2019 | 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us for an informal discussion about culture, history, politics and storytelling exploring Trevor Noah’s memoir and stand-up comedy.

Born A Crime by comedian and talkshow host Trevor Noah was selected as NC State’s 2019 Common Reading. Like his spoken comedy, Noah’s book draws upon personal experience and humor to communicate cultural differences related to identity and history. Whether you’ve read the book multiple times or never got around to it, GTI invites students to join for an informal discussion of various elements of culture in Trevor Noah’s stories.

This event is presented by the Global Training Initiative. For more information click here.
