Office of International Services Supports International Students

The Office of International Services (OIS) has focused on supporting international students to continue their studies online. They are answering operational and other logistical questions through a robust FAQ that will be continually updated as needed. Included is a video for a town hall that was conducted on 3/17. OIS will conduct another town hall March 27, 2020 at 2:00pm to update students and scholars on developments since the last town hall, including the new academic withdrawal and S/U policy and access issues (particularly from abroad) for learning modalities.

Pack Essentials has received over 400 applications for financial assistance, many from international students who lost their on-campus jobs.  More than $100K has already been issued to students overall via Pack Essentials, but more support is needed to meet the unique needs of our international students. Please consider a gift to the International Student Support Fund today!

Virtual Town Hall Meeting – March 27th 2:00pm
OIS will be hosting another Virtual Town Hall meeting via zoom at 2 PM (Raleigh time) on Friday, March 27th for international students and scholars to address any new additional questions and concerns regarding the latest COVID-19 developments since our last Town Hall. Click here to access the link to join the virtual meeting. If you are unable to attend, a recording of the Virtual Town Hall will be made available on our COVID-19 FAQ page early next week.

We will be accepting pre-submitted questions using this google form until 9 AM (Raleigh time) on Friday, March 27th and will try to address as many pre-submitted questions as possible during the Virtual Town Hall. Questions can also be submitted via the Q&A function during the Virtual Town Hall, although depending on the number of pre-submitted questions we receive, we may not be able to address all questions received in real time during the Virtual Town Hall. However, we plan to review all questions received via the pre-submission form and during the webinar and will try to post answers to common questions on our COVID-19 FAQ page within the next week.
