Passport Services On the Move

NC State Passport Services will be moving from the Witherspoon Student Center to the main floor of the Talley Student Union during the last week of October. The new facility will include many improvements, including ADA-compliant accessibility, greater visibility and card access. Passport Services will occupy the space next to the Wolfpack One Card office in the main lobby of Talley on the second floor.

The office has begun to accept passport applications and appointments again since the U.S. Department of State has resumed limited services. Safety protocols and staffing limitations require longer appointments and turnaround times for the time being. Naturalized citizens especially have taken advantage of resumed services to obtain proof of citizenship.

The new space is currently under renovation.

“It’s always an honor and delight for us to help our new fellow citizens secure their passports,” said Paula Cook, passport services manager in the Office of Global Engagement. “More than anything else, we look forward to travel restrictions loosening in the future, and restoration of our former levels of service to the entire community.”

The office is scheduled to move to Talley at the end of October.
