As part of NC State’s commitment to the University Global Coalition, we are proud to recognize March 1-5, 2021 as UN Sustainable Development Goals Action and Awareness Week on campus. The purpose of this week is to promote awareness of the 17 SDGs among students in higher education and inspire them to take action in support of the goals on their campuses and in their local community. The week will feature a series of events and activities to further advance the mission of the Sustainable Development Goals.

What are the UN Sustainable Development Goals?

The Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The SDGs were set in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030.
