Standing in Solidarity and Support: Chauvin Trial Response

The Office of Global Engagement stands in solidarity with our Black, Indigenous and People of Color student, faculty and staff community today and in the future. As NC State’s hub for global learning, we echo Chancellor Woodson’s statement of solidarity and support, and we remain strongly committed to supporting and advocating for racial justice and inclusion both at home and abroad.

While we witnessed accountability in yesterday’s verdict, we also recognize that true racial justice has not been extended to the Black community and that much more needs to be done to address and dismantle systemic racism and injustice in our society.

As we continue to process yesterday’s verdict and learn of more instances of injustice and violence, we encourage all members of the global Wolfpack community to please take time for themselves to reflect and connect with community support resources.
