SDG@3 Discussions With NC State Global
Join the Office of Global Engagement for a discussion on two of the United Nation's sustainable development goals: No. 9 (industry and innovation) and No. 12 (sustainable production and consumption). Our SDG sessions feature a faculty member, student group representative and practitioner from the community who briefly share what they are doing to make a difference on the SDG for that session. This year’s event will feature two workshops led by staff from the Career Development Center. The first workshop will address LinkedIn and how to use that platform effectively. The second workshop will focus on interview skills and include time to practice with your peers. Please join the Global Film Series for a screening of Made In Bangladesh. Marguerite Moore, a professor in the Wilson College of Textiles, will introduce the film. The movie focuses on Shimu, 23, who works in a clothing factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Faced with difficult conditions at work, she decides to start a union with her coworkers.
