Incoming Fulbright Students
NC State has a long history of hosting degree-seeking Fulbright students. Fulbright alumni and students of NC State hail from more than 50 countries and have studied in every college across campus.
For degree-seeking students
Student Fulbright recipients follow the regular admissions process for NC State graduate programs. Before starting a graduate application with NC State, prospective students should consult with the Fulbright commission or Fulbright funding agency within their home country to learn about any country-specific application procedures or funding guidelines.
Admitted students and their home country Fulbright commission or agency will work with NC State to coordinate the details of their award, including funding amounts and duration of support.
For NC State host faculty/departments
NC State graduate programs use the same admissions standards for all students, including Fulbright recipients. Please note that Fulbright awards vary by home country and not all funding levels are the same. Directors of NC State Graduate Programs (DGPs) should work with the Graduate School and the Office of Global Engagement to confirm the amount of each student’s Fulbright award and any institutional commitments that may be needed.
