NC State Global Staff Awards
NC State Global presents annual awards that recognize the dedication, creativity and collaboration of our internal staff members. These awards celebrate the behind-the-scenes efforts and innovative thinking that help NC State connect with the world, support students and faculty and advance the university’s global mission.
Staff nominations highlight the meaningful impact NC State Global colleagues make through exceptional service and shared commitment to helping the NC State community to Think and Do, Globally.
Ginger Davis Outstanding Service Award
This award recognizes an employee who demonstrates outstanding service to Global Engagement by consistently going above and beyond their designated scope of work to support colleagues, students, faculty and the broader university community. This award can also celebrate the often-unsung heroes who make OGE successful through their dedication, heart and commitment to serving others in the international community.
Criteria for Nominations
- Exceptional Service: Delivers high-quality work exceeding expectations while enhancing NC State Global programs and/or support services.
- Goes Above and Beyond: Independently volunteers to take on additional responsibilities and assists colleagues during peak periods and challenging moments.
- Collaborative Spirit: Actively supports team initiatives, cross-departmental projects and university-wide efforts.
- Wolfpack Focus: Demonstrates genuine care for student success, study abroad participants, visiting scholars and faculty engagement.
- Reliability: Follows up on commitments and consistently responds to needs and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Positive Impact: Creates a welcoming and supportive environment that reflects the values of global engagement and international education.

Think and Do Globally Award
This award recognizes an individual, project team or collaborative initiative that exhibits resourcefulness, innovative spirit, and implements new processes, technologies, or approaches that significantly impact the productivity, efficiency and reach of OGE.
Criteria for Nominations
- Innovation: Develops creative solutions to challenges and/or identifies new opportunities for improvement.
- Action: Successfully translates ideas into actionable processes, systems and initiatives.
- Impact: Creates measurable success in their area, initiative, or project. Including:
- Improved operational efficiency
- Enhanced technological integration
- Successful outreach
- Expanded organizational impact
