Bio

As Director of Faculty Global Engagement at NC State University, Dr. Leah Peck brings twenty-five years of higher education administration experience and over a decade of teaching expertise to the position. She directs the Global Engagement Institute and manages the University Global Partnership Network Research Collaboration Fund, while overseeing faculty international funding opportunities and strategic research partnerships. As a key leader in NC State’s global initiatives, Dr. Peck supervises the Global Faculty Fellows within the Provost’s Faculty Fellows Program and supports USAID project development. She convenes the Committee on International Programs (CIP) and serves on the International Operations Council (IOC).

Her responsibilities include facilitating strategic faculty research partnerships and connecting NC State faculty with funding resources for international collaborative projects and research development. Dr. Peck’s research examines how universities function as key actors in international development, with particular focus on strengthening institutional capacity in fragile and emerging contexts. This work directly informs her approach to building sustainable global partnerships and development initiatives.
