Advancing Global Learning at Home

  • This funding opportunity is open to permanent, full-time NC State faculty and staff who will remain employed by NC State for the duration of the project. Award amount is up to $5,000 per project.

Baden-Württemberg / North Carolina Faculty Mobility Program

  • The Baden-Württemberg / North Carolina exchange program (BW/NC Program) is a multilateral cooperation between the nine universities in the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg and the 15 public universities in the state of North Carolina in the USA. The program aims at facilitating the exchange of both students and researchers.

Fulbright

  • The Fulbright Program is the flagship international academic exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Government, awarding thousands of opportunities annually to students, staff, and faculty. Recipients of Fulbright awards include incoming students and scholars as well as  American students, staff, scholars, and faculty interested in pursuing academic, teaching, and research opportunities abroad.

Global Engagement Institute

  • This professional development program is designed specifically for early career faculty seeking to strengthen the global dimensions of their teaching, research and academic networks. The program consists of monthly, campus-based workshops from November 2025 through April 2026, culminating in an intensive comparative learning experience at NC State’s European Center in Prague, Czech Republic the week of May 12-17th, 2026.

International Research Accelerator Grants

  • This funding opportunity is open to NC State faculty of all ranks and appointment types, including tenure-track, clinical, teaching and research faculty across all colleges and departments.

Israel Visiting Scholar Program

  • This fund supports travel between North Carolina and Israel for scholars in each country to promote scientific research and to share technological capabilities.

Nagoya University-NC State Collaborative Seed Grants

  • This program catalyzes new research collaborations between Nagoya University and NC State faculty, with the goal of creating more substantive engagement beyond the initial funding period.

Stellenbosch International Academic Networks (SIAN) – Annual Meeting

Stellenbosch University in South Africa is one of NC State’s key international collaborators for research and bilateral student exchanges. NC State faculty and staff are eligible to participate in  the Stellenbosch International Academic Network (SIAN) programs and meetings.
The annual SIAN meeting brings new and existing partners together to network, discuss matters regarding internationalization, and learn more about Stellenbosch University.

University Global Partnership Network Research Collaboration Fund

  • This fund supports international activities leading to research collaborations between researchers at the University Global Partnership Network’s partner institutions. These awards support substantive engagement that leads to high-quality outputs.
