NC Japan Center Hosts Japanese Ambassador to United States

The NC Japan Center was honored to welcome Ambassador Shinsuke Sugiyama to Raleigh on Wednesday. The Triangle Japanese Business Association and the NC Japan Center co-hosted a lunch reception at the NC Biotechnology Center in Research Triangle Park for Ambassador Sugiyama.

The ambassador came to visit North Carolina to speak with stakeholders in the Japanese-American community, including Governor Roy Cooper and Senator Thom Tillis, as well as leadership in North Carolina-based Japanese companies.

David Robinson, Honorary Consul of Japan to North Carolina, was instrumental in organizing and facilitating the lunch reception; Robinson also serves on the center’s board of advisors.
