Student Affairs and Program Coordinator

Bio

Martin was born and raised in Slaný, Czech Republic — a historic town renowned for its salt springs and medieval charm, located just outside Prague. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in the Conditioning Coach program at Charles University’s Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, where he focused on exercise science and athletic performance. As part of his undergraduate studies, Martin studied abroad at the University of Granada in Spain, where he participated in a research project examining the impact of sport on cognitive function and reaction time.

Martin first joined NC State Prague in the Spring of 2022 as a Czech Dorm Mate while still a student at Charles University. Drawing from his study abroad experience in Spain and firsthand knowledge of student life in Prague, he now supports the NC State community as the Student Affairs and Program Coordinator. In this role, Martin helps organize cultural activities and academic events, serves as a point of contact for student support, and works closely with faculty, staff, and local partners to ensure students have a smooth and enriching experience abroad.

Martin has traveled extensively, often visiting friends from his Erasmus semester, and even had the chance to see the NC State campus in Raleigh. In his free time, he works as a personal trainer, combining his passion for health and fitness with his background in sports science. Martin is excited to support NC State students throughout their time in Prague — helping them not only explore a new country, but also grow personally, academically, and culturally.
