Incoming Fulbright Faculty & Scholars
The Fulbright program affords numerous opportunities for faculty, scholars, and doctoral students from participating countries to affiliate with NC State to teach, conduct joint research, deepen collaboration, and more. Visiting faculty and scholars gain valuable experience in their fields through the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program, the Scholar-in-Residence Program, and the Fulbright Doctoral Student Research Awards.
Faculty members who receive interest from prospective Fulbright faculty or scholars are encouraged to work with the Office of Global Engagement and the Office of Research Administration and Compliance to support faculty and scholars through the affiliation process and ensure compliance with all visiting scholar regulations.
For incoming Fulbright faculty, scholars, or doctoral researchers
NC State welcomes Fulbright faculty, scholars, and doctoral students from around the world to collaborate in research and innovation across disciplines.
Prospective faculty, scholars, or doctoral students interested in visiting NC State through a short-term Fulbright research program must apply and be awarded a research grant through their home country Fulbright Commission To complete the application, the prospective researcher must receive a letter of invitation from an NC State faculty member or department. Individuals selected for a short-term research award will work with their NC State faculty host and representatives from the Office of Global Engagement to ensure that all necessary steps below are completed ahead of the scholar’s arrival.
