NCAIE Coming to NC State
NC State will host the annual North Carolina Association of International Educators (NCAIE) conference in March 2016 at Talley Student Union. The conference brings over 250 international educators from across the state to campus to focus on everything from study abroad to international student services. The conference falls during NC State’s spring break and offers an affordable professional development opportunity for educators from institutions of all sizes. The conference is hosted by different colleges and universities every year to accommodate practitioners from every corner of North Carolina.
Optional pre-conference workshops are scheduled for Thursday, March 10th and topics include F-1 beginner and intermediate workshops, risk management for education abroad, foreign credential evaluation and an advanced immigration roundtable. The main event happens on Friday, March 11th and features a full day of engaging sessions and workshops. Conference sessions will be announced on the NCAIE website soon.
NC State’s Lauren Ball, Assistant Director for Programs in the Office of International Services, is the NCAIE Board Chair-Elect and has been an instrumental part of the planning process. “We are excited to host the conference at NC State this year to show our peers the new Talley Student Union and our Think and Do approach to international education,” Ball said.
Anyone interested in international education can register for the pre-conference and conference for $100 or $60 for Friday’s conference only. Learn more
