University of Freiburg: Young Academy for Sustainability Research

The NC State Office of Global Engagement in partnership with the NC State Office of University Interdisciplinary Programs invites applications for associate membership in the Young Academy for Sustainability Research (YAS) at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS). FRIAS is housed at the University of Freiburg, and NC State institutional partner. This opportunity is open to early-career faculty members at NC State interested in sustainability research within transformative city-regions or human-technology-environment relations.

Fulbright Pathfinder Grants Application Open

Embark on your Fulbright journey with the Fulbright Pathfinder Grant! Designed to assist faculty navigating the Fulbright application process, this one-time grant supports an initial visit to the proposed host institution, enhancing your application by establishing concrete goals and gathering essential information. Open to all eligible NC State faculty, the grant, ranging from $1,000-$2,000, aims to strengthen your application for a Fulbright Scholar award. Apply by April 30, 2023.

UGPN Research Collaboration Fund (RCF) Call for Proposals

The RCF provides seed-funding to foster innovative, high-quality and transdisciplinary research collaborations among the UGPN partner institutions. With a focus on addressing the Sustainable Development Goals, the RCF supports bilateral and trilateral research teams connecting the UGPN partners to catalyse research-led projects for academic and societal impact. Open to permanent, tenured or tenure track faculty and research professionals at NC State. Submissions due June 20, 2024.
