Olson Selected to Present at AIEA Annual Conference
Sarah Olson, Director of Global Partnerships in NC State’s Office of Global Engagement, is set to take the stage as a presenter at the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) Annual Conference in Washington, DC from February 18-24, 2024.
This event, drawing nearly a thousand participants and leaders from over forty countries, serves as a hub for international higher education discussions. Olson’s selection follows a highly-selective peer review process for trend-setting presentations.
Olson will present two sessions: “Global Engagement Data as a Catalyst for Evidence-Based Decision Making” and “Navigating Global Partnerships: Strategies for Effective Assessment & Impactful Collaboration.”
Chaired by Laura Daversa, Assistant Director of Global Partnerships and Events at the University of Pittsburgh, and featuring presenters Olson and Leasa Weimer, Director for Strategic Partnerships at the University of Denver, the first session explores the transformative impact of data on evidence-based decision making. The speakers will discuss effective strategies for disseminating and analyzing data to elevate global engagement practices.
In the second session, Olson, alongside Daversa and Vlad Likholetov, Associate Director for Partnership Agreements at Pennsylvania State University, will explore best practices for impactful collaborations, considering limited resources and aligning with institutional goals.
