What are you most excited about in your new role as Communications Specialist for the Office of Global Engagement?
I am very passionate about communication am excited to help the Office of Global Engagement better communicate their global and international efforts with the NC State community and beyond. I think that my work here can really make an impact and I am looking forward to working with and learning from other NC State communicators. Also, having been considered an international student for my entire academic career (I am originally born and raised in Germany), the work of the Office of Global Engagement is near and dear to my heart, and I cannot wait to share all of our exciting news, programs, and initiatives with the greater NC State community.
So far, what do you like the most about working in the Office of Global Engagement?
Everyone has been super nice and welcoming. Although it would have been nice to meet everyone in-person (hopefully, we will do that one day), onboarding via Zoom has not been as bad as it sounds. My new co-workers are definitely very excited that I have joined the team and immediately made me felt appreciated.
