A Message from the Senior Vice Provost for Global Engagement

During this challenging and quickly evolving time in our university and our world, we wanted to make sure that you are well informed about the actions being taken in the Office of Global Engagement and its units, and that you have the resources you need. The information in this newsletter is intended to provide a quick overview.  Please feel free to reach out if you have questions or concerns, or positive news to share as well.

Even while away from campus, we are all working actively and can be reached through our regular phone numbers and email addresses.  While travel is on hold and the use of technology to make virtual connections is growing exponentially, Global Engagement staff are available to assist with partnership building, program development, and other support.

I genuinely appreciate all of your personal and collective efforts to support the needs of our students, our faculty, and our entire university community during this pandemic. A special thanks goes to my entire hard-working staff, especially in the Office of International Services (OIS) and Study Abroad Office (SAO), who have been working around the clock in many cases to address urgent needs.

We hope that you are also protecting your own health, and finding ways to be both productive and hopeful as we continue working together.

With sincere best wishes,
Bailian Li
Senior Vice Provost for Global Engagement
