As part of International Education Month, the NC State Office of Global Engagement and NCSU Libraries have teamed up to help students explore the world in virtual reality (VR). Several students who have studied abroad will present tours of the places they lived and took courses. The tours will be visualized with Google Earth VR, a software that allows immersive 3D interaction with global map data. After the talks, attendees will have a chance to try Google Earth VR in DH Hill Library’s new VR Studio, and learn more about NCSU Libraries’ VR Services. Information about studies abroad will be available and international snacks will be served.
