Tea Time with Lambda Phi Epsilon at NC State

April 5, 2017 | 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The best way to understand culture is inherently through food and social gatherings. Historically, tea has been an inter-sectional commodity throughout Asian culture. From East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, tea has brought much of the Asian community together in one setting with its rich cultural aspects and elaborate traditional ceremonies. The ethnic break down and diversity of the Asian culture is overwhelming, however, Lambda Phi Epsilon will teach the public about the prominence of tea culture from the ancient to modern times in Asian history and teach how tea ties Asian culture together. During this event, attendees will be able to sample different tea styles throughout Asia while learning about different tea customs.

This event will be held in Poe Hall, Room 424.
