Global Film Series: Rafiki

FreeBanned in Kenya, Rafiki (“friend”, Swahili) tells the love story of Kena, a studious introvert, and Ziki, a free spirit. With beautiful, nuanced performances and engaging visuals, this film will stay with you long after viewing. Directed by Wanuri Kahiu, the film was selected to premiere at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, and was the first Kenyan film to screen at the festival.
