NC State Global Awards International Travel Funds

The Office of Global Engagement recently awarded funding to support international travel as it relates to NC State’s global strategic plan. The International Travel Assistance Fund encourages and supports faculty or staff in international engagement in research, teaching, or other scholarly activities.

This supplemental fund will defray costs associated with existing travel plans for academic purposes including, but not limited to; research collaboration, partnership development, study abroad program development, or other activities. Below are the 10 recipients of the 2018 International Travel Assistance Fund:

    • “The Past, Present, and Future of Chemical Risk Assessment Practices”
  • Tammy Gordon, College of Humanities and Social Sciences
    • “Formative Evaluation for Public History Exchange between NCSU and University of Sao Paulo”
  • Jacob Jones, College of Engineering
    • “Developing New Models for Materials Graduate Education and Research in Australia”
  • Moses Khisa, College of Humanities and Social Sciences
    • “Research and Teaching Collaboration in Uganda and Ghana”
  • Seth Murray, College of Humanities and Social Sciences
    • “Reading Burgundian Forest History through Interdisciplinary Lenses”
