Reception Brings Alumni Together in Seoul

More than 50 alumni recently attended a reception in Seoul, South Korea to connect with Chancellor Randy Woodson, university staff and fellow graduates.

The event offered a chance for alumni to engage with each other and find out more ways to stay connected with the university. Wolfpack alumni can be found all around the world, and NC State supports their connection by maintaining an active alumni base in Seoul.

During the event, Chancellor Woodson updated the alumni about the competitive enrollment for the incoming freshmen class, NC State’s increased efforts in diversity and inclusion, new collaborative international grants the university has received and faculty and student success.

Bailian Li, senior vice provost for global engagement, presented the inaugural Distinguished Global Alumnus Award to Dr. Woo-seung Kim, president of Hanyang University. Dr. Kim was selected for his many outstanding international achievements, which have created a lasting impact in Korea and around the world.

Whether you spent time studying abroad, were an international student at NC State or support global initiatives at NC State, we welcome all friends and alumni – both close at home and around the world – to stay connected. Check out opportunities get involved:
